SALT LAKE CITY PUBLIC LIBRARY

The Salt Lake City Public Library is placed in Utah, Usa. It was opened on 2003 and it was design by Moshe Safdie's Firm. This library is not only a place where you can find books or computers, this library creates an atmosphere of comfort by having a public plaza and the interior of the building is very comfortable because the designers paid a lot of attention to the materials so the sunlight doesn't affect the books or the temperature inside.

The horizontal circulation is based on long, wide corridors and longitudinally traverse the building to connect all areas of interest. There are also balconies that allow visibility to other parts of the library on the same floor. The vertical circulation is marked by a spiral and three crystal elevators. The circulation outside the building is great because the building has a big plaza outside that invits you to come inside to the building.

In my opinion this building has all the necesary elements to bring comfort to the people how are using it mixing the aesthetic facts with the funcionals to give to people a better service without leaving behind the architecture.
